(Re)defining Home: Women's Dynamic Relationships and the Concept of Home

My art practice delves into the complex relationship between women and the concept of home, examining its deep meaning in their psychology and perception. The artworks explore the impact of political dynamics, war, globalization, migration, and personal experiences on our understanding of home. Through the use of visual elements, symbolism, distortion, and personal narratives, I capture the essence of "home" beyond its physicality, encompassing notions of comfort, safety, and belonging. The artworks shed light on experiences of displacement, longing, and the search for stability influenced by external factors. By provoking reflection and fostering empathy, this practice aims to deepen our understanding of the interplay between political and personal circumstances and the profound meaning of home. My paintings incorporates personal narratives, symbolism, and visual elements to evoke a dialogue around the complex experiences of women and the concept of home. This practice also explores approaches to effectively present and contextualize these artworks, encouraging viewers to engage, empathize, and gain a deeper understanding of the depicted experiences.
